Sue's Nine Patch ProjectIt's summer and time to have some quilting fun! We're starting a Nine Patch Project - there is nothing to buy, nothing to order, and no fees to participate. ![]() Here's how the Nine Patch Project works Make one nine patch block each day, in any size, for the summer beginning July 1st Our only goal is to use up some fabric stash and have enough blocks for a beautiful quilt at the end of the summer. You can make any size block and if you have extra squares left from another project, feel free to put them to good use for this project. Just remember, the larger the blocks, the larger the quilt you will have. No rules - any size you want - you can use a 6" finished block that would be constructed of nine squares that are cut 2-1/2 inches. Just one block per day is do-able, no stress, and what's easier than a nine patch. In about six weeks, you should have enough blocks for an entire quilt making just one block per day! Sometime in August, we will provide optional setting instructions. email pictures of your blocks as you make progress and I'll post them on the website. We'll update the participant list on a regular basis to keep you up-to-date on everyone's progress. At the end of the summer, we'll set a date to have a cook-out celebration at my home and to show off all the finished quilts. Want to participate? Just send an email to sue@sewworthit.com and let us know you're ready for some fun! Everyone is welcome!! Tell your friends!! |
